I love this picture of my mom and me. She was my world and it shows. I always thought she was so beautiful, and I still do. I remember trips to Taco Bell, just the two of us, big sticks at the zoo, and jumping in the waves at the beach. And then there were the simple things--making sugar cookies for just about every holiday (we had a turkey cookie cutter), blowing bubbles, reading, reading, reading, eating See's candy, and when I got older, playing Barbies (even though my mom wasn't the best at it--her story lines stunk). There's something about a mother-daughter relationship, isn't there? That fine, fragile line between being a friend and a mother. And it's a relationship that changes, yet stays exactly the same. I'll always be my mother's little girl, and even though I don't always like that, it's comforting too. I love you, Mom.

You are an incredible writer! This was beautiful. It made me laugh because my kids probably think my story lines stink too. I also got a little teary eyed because you are a right- there is something about a mother- daughter relationship. I have sure been thinking about you all today. sure love ya! Missy

What a beautiful photo! And I'd like to echo the first comment by missy... You are an incredible writer. Today is my first time stopping by your blog and I'm so impressed by your writing in all of your posts. It is fun to read your stories and thoughts. You have a great way of presenting these lovely little morsels of your life in words. I'm glad to get to read about your experiences.
