Just Gotta Dance

Lily informed me today that the best part of last night's school carnival was not the junk food, games or prizes, but when she and a few of her friends were dancing up on stage. Lest you think Lily was giving some planned performance, let me explain that there was a DJ playing during the cakewalk who I guess was hired to play music all night and some girls (Lily among them) decided it would be fun to just dance up on stage in front of a room full of people. We could hardly pull her off of there.

Today marked the first day of dance class, which Lily has awaited since it ended last Spring. At the breakfast table this morning she said, "My tummy's so excited about dance class, and I am too!"
