So Sweet

On the way home from the mall, Lily was busily eating her treat--gummi bears, when she said, "Here Mom, I'll share this with you."

I turned around to take the proffered gummi bear, and said, "Oh, thanks, Lily". As I took the candy, I thought there was something a little strange about it--shinier and stickier than it ought to be. "Did you put it in your mouth?"

"No."

"You didn't put it in your mouth?" I asked again.

"No."

Satisfied, I popped it in my mouth.

Then she said, "I just licked it."
