Oscar had been playing outside today and wanted some apple cider because he was SO COLD. I was reluctant because it was about an hour before dinner, and I know how these things always play out. Anyway, I gave in. About a half hour later, Lily sees Oscar drinking something good and asks, "Can I have some hot chocolate?" to which I reply, "No." I explain to her that it's too close to dinner now, and Oscar had been playing outside, and was cold. I continued to prepare dinner, and saw Lily putting on her jacket. I didn't think much of it. About ten minutes later I hear Lily come in from outside. She asks, "Can I have some hot chocolate now?"
How do you argue with that?

That is hilarious. It just amazes me what kids will do to get what they want. That is for sure.
It is so nice to be able to keep up with you guys!
How do they get so smart? At least you now have proof that your kids do listen to what you say!
