The kids and I flew to Oregon last week to visit my parents; Phil joined us later that week. We picked berries, rode on the tire swing next door and simply played. I found myself laughing a lot. I found myself enjoying my children a lot. Time after time, I became caught up in the beautiful perfectness of small moments--berry-stained faces, how the fields were lit by the setting sun and the way Oscar and Lily ran free. I never wanted it to end.

Oh my goodness, as a kid we went and stayed with family in oregon and my favorite things we did was hunt the beach for sand dollars and pick berries. So big and delicious there. I bet your kids were in heaven!!
