From the Mouths of Babes

The other day, Oscar and Lily were playing "baby," with Lily as the mommy and Oscar as the baby. This is their conversation:

Oscar: Wah, wah!
Lily: (coming into the room) What is it, Baby? (exits the room)
Oscar: Wah, wah!
Lily: (coming into the room again, holding up her hands in exasperation) But I'm busy on the computer! (exits again)
Oscar: Goo-goo, ga-ga, wah, wah!
Lily: (enters again) But I'm busy doing the laundry!

Hmmm...what is that about art imitating life?

Mar, I love all of your posts. You're the best writer! So good at capturing the moments. I think Mavis might say the same things Lily said. She gets mad at her dollies and they get in trouble a lot. I'm not sure what for, but they get in trouble. Poor Mavis! Listening to her play pretend with the dolls makes me want to be a little more patient and kind.
