We have had a pretty typical Sunday today. Tonight as we sit and enjoy life as Lily and Oscar are in bed, Oscar is chirping away like he is a loud bird. Hopefully he will fall fast asleep soon.
We are watching the family from Bountiful on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. They look like a great LDS family. Did you even see the FHE assignment chart? Looks like a little house with blue hearts with the names on it. We knew that it would have to hit home soon enough. They already did a home in Redlands down the street from our ward building. It looks great. Still does. This family seems like a really nice one. The Dad has cancer. And it seems like the ward is out helping the family on a service project. The whole community is out helping the family. The dad has a cabinetry shop. **They are saving the garden and trees.
Mid-show we hear Oscar squealing with delight. So we go into the room and he is in Lily's crip and has clothes on top of her head and he was laughing. We ripped him out of the crip and tried to discipline him by telling him what he was doing was wrong but he just laughed. It is such a challenge sometimes to teach him what he does is wrong when it so little and he thinks that you are playing with him so much of the time. Ohhh. It gets so frustrating when you feel like all you can is scream at him. Well hopefully now he'll fall asleep -- we took Lily out of the room and she is watching "Extreme Makeover" with us and loving the control of the remote in her hand. Ohhh. She just dropped it off of the couch on the floor and is looking for it whereever it is on the floor.
I am reading the Book of Mormon from the challenge of President Hinckley to finish it before the end of the year. I think that I am behind. I am at Mosiah 24.
We have had a pretty fun week. Our front room looks so different: yellow walls, rearranged furniture, and curtains in the front room.
I am now fully involved in the new quarter of classes -- school is starting to take more time. Statistics classes are taking more time but yet not as much as they will as the quarter continues. It really has seemed quite calm this far into a quarter.
Yesterday, Marlene took Oscar and Lily to have their pictures taken by a member of our ward. She said that they looked very cute. I can't wait to see the pictures when they come out.
