July 10, 2005 Update
I had a nice update to go along with this and it got erased. Anyway we had a good time in the fourth of July and spent some time with friends, at the morning scout breakfast, and watching fireworks at the University of Redlands. Oscar got burned just after this picture was taken. He is so cute. I love that little guy. He would stick his arm out like it was broken or in a cast. I miss him.
Marlene, Oscar, and Lily all went up to Oregon on a journey to visit the grandparents. Oscar is tagging along with Grandpa Schaefer and apprantly refuses to let anyone else do things for him: Grandpa Push (the stroller), playing around his feet, or going to the garden. Marlene is having a nice time with her parents. And we think that Lily might be teething now--she is crying now. Our perfect little quite angel says that she is in pain or something else. We hope not.
Hope that everyone is fine. It was nice talking with Amie, Sarah, Mom and Dad, Marlene, and others today. It has been quiet around these parts in Loma Linda, except when I am running around on my new skateboard. It is quite fun and it already is looking like a fat cow has been riding it (my 185 pound frame) is giving it a run for its money.
i have been working out and man am I sore. I am really needing a regular routine. Hope to keep it up. Well we are losing some of our friends that are finished with their MS from the program and they are moving on with their lives and that is a bit sad for us. Several are getting PhD in other parts of the country. Our strong hold of LDS folks is getting smaller and smaller.
Jason (my neighbor) and I went on a nice hike up in the big bear mountains yesterday. We've been hanging out since both of our wives are in Oregon. It has been nice to have someone to talk to while they have been gone. Marlene has the camera so I took a few pics on the telephone but I haven't been too successful in actually getting those pictures to other locations yet.
Hope that all is well. Love, Phil
